October 26 : Ottawa Municipal Election
This election is our chance to hold our city leaders accountable. Candidates often speak about public safety, yet road crashes remain one of the largest sources of preventable injury and death in our city. When mayoral and council candidates ask for your vote, ask them what they will do to improve road safety, particularly our vulnerable user network.
We are fortunate to have some great work from Ottawa’s senior advocacy organizations to inform ourselves on where candidates stand on road safety, public transit, sustainable transit, and more. See the replies of the Bike Ottawa Mayoral candidates here, and the Ecology Ottawa all candidates survey. For a deeper dive you can see the incumbent’s voting record here on Horizon Ottawa’s vote tracker.
